      Hi Denise,

Unfortunately our cashback card is unavailable to retired members of staff at the moment. We’d love to be able to open it up to more members at some point and appreciate the benefits it would bring, however at the moment we’re unable to do so for legal reasons. We’re working on this and hopefully we’ll be able to include retired members of staff in the future.

Until then there’s a wide selection of online offers available through our website here: http://www.healthservicediscounts.com

You need to allow retired NHS staff to apply tor the Cashback card. These guys need the help just as much. You could always use the NHS Pension statement as proof….

On behalf of all the NHS staff who’s jobs do not qualify or need a NHS email address and indeed have no access to a work computer, I wish to put the following Comment:
NHS addresses are provided in response to an employee’s job being such that the use of a digital address is needed in the everyday continuance of that job/position.
In response to my past enquiry into this mater I was told that my IT department would provide me an email and would administer the business of that email on my behalf requiring me to visit the IT dept and have a member of IT access my email to give me any relevant communications, That should be regarded as an unacceptable invasion of privacy an no-one should be willing to follow such an insulting procedure.
To sum-up, we are told that the discount card is not available without a NHS email and that ‘FOR LEGAL REASONS’ no other form of qualifying documentation is acceptable … !!!
This highly insulting and disrespectful requirement should be addressed by all staff who are affected by this requirement by way of recording a complaint of intentional and deliberate discrimination because that is what it is:
It IS discrimination and as such is illegal

      Hi Rod,

Eligible members are able to join our scheme and access 90% of the discounts without any verification.

The verification is a stipulation of the retailers, not ourselves. At the moment the card wouldn’t be available to anyone if there wasn’t email verification.

We are aware that this isn’t an ideal situation and we are working on taking other forms of ID as verification. The card provider needs to make sure their process is fully GDPR compliant before any further verification methods are approved however we are pleased to confirm that we should have something live around the end of March.
