How To Use Your Cashback Card Abroad

Your Health Service Discounts Cashback Card isn’t only for use at home, when travelling on holidays abroad you’ll be able to use your card like you would any other travel money card.

Use it wherever the Visa Acceptance Mark is displayed (which is generally most places – but you can always double check to make sure).

As with most payment cards, there is a 2.5% foreign exchange fee which will apply to every purchase and you will not qualify for cashback when spending abroad.

Budgeting Tips:

Why not try putting some of your holiday spending onto the card and use it as your daily spending budget? Budgeting when on holiday can always be difficult but if you know you’ve got a select amount for the day you’re able to spend, you may find that your money goes further.

  • Keep a rainy day fund
  • Stick to a daily budget
  • Avoid unnecessary spending
  • Arrange your own excursions
  • Walk, don’t get taxis
  • Try purchasing a travel pass
  • Avoid the minibar
  • Self catering? Just take the basics
  • Save on travel insurance
